Physical activity is an important part of a healthy life, and being active should also be an enjoyable part of your life. Here are some tips for building physical activity into your life.
- If you have any medical conditions, talk to your doctor before you start an exercise program.
- Try different activities until you find some you like, and share them with friends. That way, physical activity becomes part of your social life.
- Protect yourself from injury. Wear the right shoes for your activity. Stretch before activity to prevent joint injury. Warm up before engaging in high-intensity exercise.
- Avoid dehydration. Make sure you are hydrated before exercise, and stop for water if you are exercising for a long time.
